Scottie Scheffler What's In The Bag?
Scottie Scheffler's 2024 season was one of the most dominant seasons in the modern history of golf, cementing his place as world number one.
In terms of his equipment, he is not a big tinkerer, so heading into 2025, Scottie has a very similar look to his golf bag.

Driver
What Driver Does Scottie Scheffler Use?
Scheffler has been testing out the TaylorMade Qi35 driver over the early part of 2025 but as yet has not been able to put down his Qi10 driver from last year. Don't be fooled however, it is not quite the retail model that you or I could buy, it is a tour only "dot" head that sits somewhere between the Qi10 LS and the Qi10 driver. Rory McIlroy plays the same model.
Scheffler plays the 8˚ head and it has an actual playing loft of 8.25˚.
The American’s shaft of choice is the Fujikura Ventus Black 7 X.
Fairway
What Fairway Woods Does Scottie Scheffler Use?
Scheffler has again stuck with a TaylorMade Qi10 fairway wood from last season, set at 15 degrees and fitted with a Fujikara Ventus Black 8 X shaft.
The standard Qi10 fairway wood is the middle option of the three in the range, offering a mid spin and launch profile as well as a fixed hosel, versus the lower spinning Qi10 Tour fairway wood, which features both loft and sliding weight adjustability to really dial in the ball flight. For a more forgiving fairway wood, we would suggest the Qi10 Max version.
Irons
What Irons Does Scottie Scheffler Use?
Scheffler usually has two Srixon Z U85 utility irons (3-4) in his setup. That is expected to continue this year, although we will need to keep an eye on that in case there are any changes.
The rest of his iron set is made up from the TaylorMade P7TW, which he has in 5 iron through to Pitching Wedge. His shaft choice is the True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100. These irons were designed specifically for Tiger Woods, but they have proven to be popular with other premier ball strikers like Scheffler and Tommy Fleetwood. Woods actually played a big part in Sheffler wanting to try the irons out.
Featuring tungsten billets behind the impact zone, the P7TW irons have an almost unique depth of strike, even among the best blade irons.
These are irons for low handicap golfers and will not suit those who need more forgiveness in their irons.
Wedges
What Wedges Does Scottie Scheffler Use?
The American carries Titleist Vokey Design SM8 wedges with lofts of 50 and 56 degrees as well as a WedgeWorks Prototype 60 degree lob wedge. This prototype isn’t available for retail but the SM8’s most definitely are and we so impressed when we tested them that they got the full five stars.
These are unquestionably some of the best golf wedges money can buy. In testing out on the course, the spin control combined with the more user-friendly grinds allowed us to be more committed on pitch and chip shots, making these some of the best wedges for chipping
Putter
What Putter Does Scottie Scheffler Use?
Putting has been the only thing preventing Scheffler from completely dominating the competition. He leads most categories in tee to green but getting the ball in the hole has been a problem for him. For a long time he refused to acknowledge this (publicly at least) but as 2023 progressed he began to experiment with different Scotty Cameron putters to try and find one that could help him recapture the magic that saw him take the golf world by storm.
After Rory McIlroy recently made a comment suggesting he'd like to see Scottie try a mallet putter as it may give him slightly more stability over a bladed putter, Scheffler put a TaylorMade Spider Tour X in the bag and picked up his 7th win on the PGA Tour at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, winning by 5 strokes.
Ball
What Golf Ball Does Scottie Scheffler Use?
Scheffler has been using Titleist Pro V1's for a number of years. Regarded as arguably the best golf ball in the sport, they feature a softer cast urethane elastomer cover and faster low spin casing layer for consistent flight and spin.
Apparel/Shoes
Nike
Worn by some of the most recognisable athletes in the world, Scheffler has been involved with Nike since he was at University in Texas. After the brand stopped making clubs in 2016, it solely focused on clothing and producing some of the best golf shoes out there, with famous designs like the Nike Air Max recently transferring over to the golf course.
Scheffler has been wearing a pair of the Nike Air Zoom TW Tiger Woods shoes which rank among the very best Nike golf shoes, but with Woods having now split from Nike it remains to be seen whether Scheffler and Nike’s other leading players will switch to another of the best golf shoes on the market.
