Winger Scott Wright is hoping for a Rangers shot in the Scottish Cup - but doesn't believe a "weakened side" will face Cove.
The 23-year-old has been used sparingly in the Premiership since his January switch from Aberdeen and is keen to get more time on the park.
However, he doesn't believe boss Steven Gerrard will be looking to take the foot of the gas for the relentless champions in their hunt for silverware.
Ahead of the clash with the League One side, Wright said when asked about a starting XI shake-up and his own game time: "It's a target I set myself when I came in the door, to get as many minutes as I can.
"I've spoken about trying to make an impact whether that's from the bench or from the start and playing my part for the team as the manager sees fit.
"I may be a bit fresher than some of the international players that are coming back but I don't think we are going to be playing a weakened side.
"We are keen to go on a good Scottish Cup run and try and win the trophy.
"I'll take the minutes as they come, but if I play it's just a case of trying to keep myself in the team."
