Scott Sinclair shares simple rule he uses to motivate himself after Helen Flanagan split

Scott Sinclair is currently enjoying a well earnt break away with his three kids as his Bristol Rovers season has come to an end. The star has to stay healthy during his time away from the pitch ahead of his pre-season tests next month.

Sharing a selfie on Instagram, he revealed to his 228K followers that he uses a little-known fitness rule to help him improve. The photograph showed off the footballers six-pack and toned muscles, which he credits to the "1% rule".

This is where people aspire to make marginal gains every day, improving their performance by just one per cent daily, ensuring they are always moving forward with their progress.

Amassing thousands of likes, fans were quick to praise the 'Gas legend'. One person wrote: "Jesus (fire emoji) Great shape Scott". Another said: "Very On point my bro."

The Bristol Rovers' midfielder is currently away with his extended family. The star, who joined Rovers when he was just nine years old, split from Coronation Street star, Helen Flanagan, last year. The pair, who had been together for 13 years, share three kids together and are now co-parenting.

It seems Helen is making the most of her time without kids by staying in her favourite London hotel. She posted on Instagram: "Watch me. Always the best stay at my fave hotel in London @melondonhotel."

However, she recently shared with fans how much she struggles being in the family home when her kids are away. She said: "So this long weekend was my first weekend that I didn’t have my kids as they were having a good time with their daddy and nanna.

"I usually when my kids go away make sure I go out, usually run to London and get drunk with my friends.

"I felt like it was time though to face being in my family house on my own which is something I’ve put off for a very long time as I didn’t want to feel sad. But sometimes I suppose you’ve just got to feel stuff and it’s ok to cry.”

The reason she shared her feelings with her one million-plus followers was to show people her real life away from the glamour.

She said: "I wanted to share this because sometimes we scroll on Instagram and things can look perfect but in reality some things are just s**t.

"Also I have a big following of other mums and women that will relate to me and I love that I’ve built a supportive network of women. Anyway here’s some snaps from my weekend. Didn’t want to get out my dressing gown and binge ate Colin the caterpillar cake."
