Scott Sinclair and Nir Bitton in Celtic contract talks reveals Neil Lennon

Neil Lennon has revealed Scott Sinclair and Nir Bitton are in talks over new deals at Celtic.

Both players are out of contract at the end of next season but could agree to extend their stays at Parkhead.

Reports earlier this month claimed Sinclair was sweating over whether Celtic would trigger a one-year extension clause in his current contract.

Bitton , meanwhile, has returned to the first-team after a lengthy injury absence having last signed a deal in 2015.

Lennon, who also confirmed discussions are still ongoing with Mikael Lustig, provided an update ahead of Sunday's clash with Rangers.

He said: "Discussions are ongoing at the minute.

"Lustig and a few others are speaking as well, like Scott Sinclair and Nir Bitton.

"That's ongoing at the minute."

The Celtic interim boss insists he's relaxed over his future ahead of Steven Gerrard bringing his side to Parkhead.

The Irishman believes beating the Hoops' bitter rivals won't be decisive in his quest to land the position permanently for a second time.

He added: "Of course I’ll be judged, yeah.

“These are the games that matter and the ones everyone talks about. These are the ones that people remember.”

But asked directly if the outcome would carry additional weight in terms of his future, Lennon added: “I’m not convinced.

“I don’t think my future is based on the result of one game or two games against Rangers.

“It’ll be whole package over the three months I’ll have been in charge.

“There is a lot of speculation surrounding that, but that’s all it is. Speculation and conjecture and I’ve obviously taken no notice of it.”
