Scott Parker has indicated he would work within the recruitment structure at Fulham if he lands the manager’s job on a full-time basis.

The club have a “both boxes ticked” approach in which any signing must be approved by data analysis and more traditional scouting methods.

Slavisa Jokanovic was unhappy with the transfer policy last summer and wanted greater control when Fulham spent more than £100million on 12 new players. But director of football operations Tony Khan is unlikely to change his approach.

Parker, appointed as caretaker manager last week after Claudio Ranieri was sacked, said: “If you take the job you need to understand the processes and what it is in place. If you are comfortable with that then it is something you move forward with.”

Fulham travel to Leicester on Saturday desperately needing a win to boost their slim chances of avoiding relegation.
