Scott Parker says he ‘deserves’ abuse from Burnley fans as relegation edges nearer

Scott Parker has claimed he “deserves” the abuse he received from Burnley fans following his side’s 4-1 defeat by Nottingham Forest on Sunday.
Burnley took the lead just before half time but conceded four goals after the break to slump to a heavy loss.
Parker and his players were booed by the travelling fans after the game, and the Burnley boss admitted he had no issue with their reaction.
Parker said it was “hurtful” and “sad” to be booed by supporters, but understood fans’ frustration.
Burnley are now 12 points from safety with five games to go, and look set to be relegated to the Championship.
