Bournemouth are ready to swoop for Scott Parker if he elects to walk away from Fulham this week.

Parker is in talks with Fulham about his future after the club were relegated from the Premier League last season.

The former midfielder has been in charge at Craven Cottage since 2019 and achieved victory in the Championship play-offs the following year.

However, Parker now looks ready to leave west London and his future could be sorted this week during further discussions with Fulham.

Despite suffering relegation, the 40-year-old remains highly regarded and Bournemouth are particularly keen on hiring him this summer.

The club looked at appointing Parker last year when Eddie Howe left and would have firmed up their interest then, but Fulham secured promotion to the Premier League and he wanted to stay with them.

Former Tottenham defender Jonathan Woodgate was in charge of Bournemouth towards the end of last season, but he is expected to move on after the Cherries were defeated by Brentford in the semi-finals of the Championship play-offs.
