Scott Mills and Rylan take over Eurovision afterparty at city centre bar

Eurovision commentary team Scott Mills and Rylan Clark continued the celebrations after the conclusion of the grand final by appearing at an official afterparty at a bar in Liverpool city centre.

The main event rounded off at the M&S Bank Arena with Sweden’s Loreen scooping the crown for the second time. Nine days of events, part of the wider cultural programme, also came to an end, many of which were held at the Eurovision Village at the Pier Head.

Fresh from their stint commentating on the grand final for BBC Radio 2, the pair attended an official afterparty at Teddy’s Bar on Slater Street. Other guests included previous Eurovision winner Conchita Wurst, UK contestant Mae Muller, last year’s runner up Sam Ryder and Irish Taoiseach Leo Veradker.

A spokesperson for Teddy’s bar said Scott Mills DJ’d at the event for a few hours. The BBC Radio DJ was also joined on stage by Rylan.

Video shared with the ECHO shows the pair behind the decks with Scott playing ABBA hit ‘Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!’ The footage shows Rylan dancing beside his co-commentator with people spread out throughout the bar.

Scott and Rylan did the TV commentary for the two semi-finals held earlier in the week - the first on Tuesday, May 9 and then on Thursday, May 11. They then led the coverage on BBC Radio 2 for the final with Graham Norton and Hannah Waddingham leading the line-up for TV.
