Scott McTominay gives verdict on Manchester United signings Bruno Fernandes and Odion Ighalo

Scott McTominay says he is very impressed with the arrivals of Bruno Fernandes and Odion Ighalo at Manchester United.

United made two additions in the January transfer window after securing a permanent deal for Portugal international Fernandes, while Ighalo joined the club on a five-month loan deal.

Fernandes made his debut for United at the weekend during their goalless draw against Wolves while Nigerian forward Ighalo was not registered in time for the match.

The duo are expected to travel with the rest of the United squad on a warm weather training camp at the end of the week as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side utilise the inaugural Premier League winter break to build their fitness.

United's two new signings will be hoping to make the difference when their side travel to face Chelsea in the league on Monday 17 February, and McTominay admits he's already impressed by the pair.

"They are really, really nice guys," he told Sky Sports.

"First and foremost they are good people. That’s what we need at this football club.

"We need people who are good friends, obviously, who can go out for dinner for everybody as well.

"What they bring onto the pitch we have seen that, and hopefully they can bring a lot for us. First impressions are very, very good."
