Scott McTominay has capped his remarkable rise by finishing in the top 20 for the 2025 Ballon d'Or.
The Scotland hero was nominated for this year's award after his exploits for Napoli, helping them to the Serie A title with 12 league goals and a further one in the cup following his move from Manchester United.
He has now discovered his fate with the results published this evening and the 28-year-old has placed in 18th.

That sees him ranked above some star names such as Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk, Manchester City's Erling Haaland, Real Madrid sensation Jude Bellingham and Arsenal's Declan Rice.
It comes after McTominay was crowned the Italian top flight's player of the year for last season after a stunning debut campaign.
He is only the fifth Scot to be nominated for Ballon d'Or after Ally McCoist, Kenny Dalglish, Jimmy Johnstone and Denis Law. Law won the award in 1964.
