Scott McKenna the subject of multi-million pound bids from Nottingham Forest and QPR

Aberdeen have rejected two more English bids this weekend for defender Scott McKenna.

Mark Warburton’s QPR and Nottingham Forest have both made firm offers for the 22-year-old Scotland centre-back believed to be in the region of £3million.

Hull City have also made their renewed interest in the player known after seeing four bids for him snubbed last January.

However Aberdeen will play hardball over their 12-cap defender, who has become a mainstay of the international set-up in the past 18 months.

And MailSport understands they’re prepared to wait it out until their valuation of the defender is met, with four full seasons left on his Pittodrie deal after signing a long-term contract last March.

They do expect more significant interest, though, particularly with the transfer window for the English Premier League and Championship closing on August 8, the eve of their opening weekend.

McKenna has been the subject of constant transfer attention since breaking into the Dons first team as a fixture two years ago.

As well as Hull’s failed attempts, Aston Villa and Celtic had major bids knocked back for him last August.
