Scott Fraser set to deal Hibs a transfer blow as he closes in on MK Dons switch

Scott Fraser is set to disappoint Hibs and join MK Dons.

The English League One outfit have pushed the boat out to make him their highest earner with the added promise of making a real promotion push this year.

Ambitious boss Russell Martin has thrown everything at the talented 25-year-old to get him to the Stadium MK.

The former Dundee United star is set for a medical today and is ready to pen a two-year deal with MK.

Hibs have now been informed of Fraser’s pending decision and are now looking at alternatives.

The player was impressed by the pitch of Graeme Mathie and Jack Ross and their ambitions for Hibs, but he feels at this stage in his career he would prefer to remain in England.

Fraser moved to Burton Albion a couple of seasons ago and was a major success with the Brewers in League One.

He has also held talks with Hull City and Sunderland this summer but has been sold on a move to MK Dons.

He has been Martin's top target for several months and the former Scotland defender has done all he can to land Fraser.
