Hopeful Swansea City hope to land Scott Fraser in a January deal.
Swans boss Russell Martin is keen to land his former midfielder from Ipswich Town.
Martin is waiting for Ipswich Town to name their manager to see if he would be prepared to sell the playmaker in a six figure deal.
Boss Paul Cook signed him for the Tractor Boys but has since departed. Former Celtic manager Neil Lennon and Alex Neil, who has been linked with Hibs, are also keen.
Fraser only moved to Portman Road in the summer.
Martin has previously worked with the 26-year-old in their time together at MK Dons.
He wants to give Fraser the chance to step up to the Championship.
The former Dundee United has also had a successful spell at Burton Albion and that was where Martin took him to MK.
