Scott Brown trolls Rangers defender Andy Halliday after Celtic Park rammy

Scott Brown and Andy Halliday clashed as all hell broke loose following the final whistle in Sunday's derby clash at Celtic Park.

The Rangers defender saw red after the full-time whistle as referee Bobby Madden flashed a second yellow card in his direction.

A visibly furious Halliday made a beeline for Brown immediately after the whistle with Celtic keeper Scott Bain keeping the pair apart.

Brown had been at the centre of a series of flashpoints in the powderkeg encounter.

Alfredo Morelos laughed at by Scott Brown as Rangers hothead is sent off again

He was whacked by Alfredo Morelos in the first half in an incident which led to the Rangers striker seeing red for the fifth time this season.

He was then punched in the face by Ryan Kent moments after James Forrest's late winner - with the Rangers man escaping even a booking.

Brown was asked what Halliday had said during the late flashpoint.

And he told Sky Sports: "Ah he just came up to congratulate me."

Brown then gave a wry half smile as the journalist asked, "Really?"

The Hoops skipper didn't miss Morelos as he was asked for his thoughts on the Colombian's red card.

Brown said: "He gave me an elbow and you can't do that, especially in modern day football with the number of cameras there are.

"But I think it's all about us today. It's about our performance levels in the first half and we didn't create too much in the second half, we had to dig deep but our performance levels showed late on.

"It's always going to be hard one of your rivals coming to Celtic Park but I thought our fans were exceptional for 90 minutes once again."

Asked about the Kent incident, Brown said deadpan: "Can't even remember it."
