Scott Brown to Aberdeen prediction as Celtic skipper 'won't want' cameo role in career swansong

Si Ferry suspects Scott Brown won't accept heading to Aberdeen for a bit-part role.

The Celtic captain is wanted for a player-coach position by Stephen Glass, the favourite to take over from Derek McInnes at Pittodrie.

Brown, 35, is out of contract at Parkhead come the end of the season and is yet to decide what his next steps will be.

The former Scotland midfielder is understood to be considering Glass' offer. The pair played together at Hibs earlier in Brown's career.

But Ferry, speaking on Go Radio, reckons the veteran skipper will still be of the mind that he can play every single week.

And it's for that reason he believes Brown will not be keen on minimal playing time.

"He'll still be one of the fittest at Celtic," Ferry said.

"I'd very surprised if he wanted to go (to Aberdeen) and play one in every four.

"I really would. Broony, I think, for his last year would want to go somewhere and play every week.

"People are calling him off and he wants to go and prove to people he can play every week.
