It's only taken two World Cup qualifiers for Scotland fans to get the euphoria of last November's Euros joy against Serbia out of their systems.
After draws against Austria and Israel, the prophets of doom are back on board and boss Steve Clarke 's national hero status has been withdrawn.
Colin Simpkins, East Kilbride, said: "I'm finished watching Scotland. Our World Cup campaign ends after two matches after we failed to beat an average Austrian side and again couldn’t beat Israel. After four matches against them, we still can't figure out how to beat them and it's pathetic. Anything less than four or five goals against the mighty Faroe Islands and it's curtains.
"We are dire and come the Euros we will be the whipping boys."
Gordon Ashley, Ayr, said: "Clarke is now blatantly selling the nation down the river by playing our best attacking option at centre back, all the top english pundits have rightly declared Kieran Tierney the best attacking full back in the Premier League, he has the ability to go past defenders and hit the byline while Andy Robertson doesn't. Clarke has bottled this decision and it's cost us big time."
Robert Livingstone, Palm Beach, said: "Have Israel become a top football nation or is it just a fairly poor to average Scotland team?
"As a schoolboy in the late 1950s I remember my hometown team Falkirk playing a match against the Israeli team Macabi and most of their players were Israeli internationals. Falkirk won 10 -0 and it was 9-0 at half-time."
John Thomson, East Kilbride, said: "I understand that in football you are trying not to lose matches, but surely we have to go and win games first. We have played Israel so many times recently, they know exactly what to expect from us and how to play against us but after having dropped points against Austria we needed to do something different.
"One man up front with others playing behind allows the opposition back four the luxury of time and space on the ball. We should have started with Che Adams and Lyndon Dykes up front together to give the opposition few opportunities to dictate from the back."
Sam Johnson, emailed: "It was another very average display from Scotland. Players should have money deducted for continually passing back and this nonsensical desire to play it out from the back all the time then they get an attack of nerves at the halfway line.
"The only positive was that we didn't lose."

Robert Pender, emailed: "The Scotland team is playing well within themselves and it's a little bit the manager who never smiles.
"Let the boys out of plaster cast please."
Helen McCoy, emailed: "Scotland were like deer caught in headlights and they were far to slow to attack Israel,
"Ryan Christie should get a ball to himself he’s never going to pass it to anyone and I also thought David Marshall should have saved shot at Israel's goal as it was surely well in his line of sight."
John Melrose, Perth, said: "My fellow Aberdeen fans are nuts for criticising the signing of Scott Brown. This guy has captained Scotland's biggest club to 9-in-a-row and quadruple Treble, records that will never be broken.
"He is exactly what we need and if he persuades Leigh Griffiths to join him from Celtic, I genuinely think we could mount a title challenge."
Ian McDonald, Innerleithen, said: "Hotline caller James Forsyth said Hearts fans have short memories and Ann Budge saved the club so we should give her a chance to sort it out. In the last five years we've had the Ian Cathro fiasco, the Craig Levein shambles and Daniel Stendel's short stay and we are now back to square one under Robbie Neilson.
"We know she saved us but on the football side the club is a mess."
Tom Clarke, Drumoak, said: " Record Sport 's Keith Jackson claims Ann Budge needs to step aside and allow Robbie to repair the damage caused by previous managers. That’s like filling potholes with Rice Krispies .
"Sorry Keith but we’ve had enough, I agree Budge needs to step aside but Neilson needs to be replaced ASAP. His tactics are clueless as are his man management."
