Scott Brown reveals Rangers 'hate' from Fleetwood coach's SON as Celtic hero comforts pal after 10 'bad' Ibrox years

It's a rivalry that dies hard - and Celtic hero Scott Brown admits he's even got a taste of that from a Rangers-supporting SON of one of his Fleetwood Town coaches.

The former Parkhead captain watched on with glee last weekend as his former side beat the Light Blues 1-0 at Hampden in Scottish Cup semi-final action. Brown left Glasgow in 2021 and is about to end his first season in charge of English League One club Fleetwood Town, where he has earned plaudits like obtaining a club-record FA Cup run.

There's Rangers connections in his coaching ranks, with assistant Steven Whittaker a former player and coach Barry Nicholson a supporter. And speaking to PLZ, Brown has admitted the latter's son pulled no punches in a hilarious assessment of the Celtic man who's piled misery on his dad. He said: "I watched the game and I got the bragging rights, yet again. Baz has had a long, long, bad 10 years but I keep reminding him that one day I am going to send him all my trophies!

"His lad, Noah... I will tell you a story. Big Rangers fan, we are having dinner and blethering away. I say 'Noah, out of everybody in Scotland who has played for Celtic, who do you hate the most?'

"He said 'YOU!' He couldn't wait to get it out, he's brilliant. There's a huge Rangers and Celtic connection down here."
