New Aberdeen star Scott Brown has already got down to business with the Dons.
The 35-year-old played his last game for Celtic in the goalless draw away at Hibs, the very club Gordon Strachan signed him from in the summer of 2007.
14 years later he's bringing the curtain down on an illustrious career in Glasgow's east end but is adamant he's not done yet.
And he revealed he started his new player-coach remit under Stephen Glass in the Granite City "pretty much" less than 24 hours later.
Asked after his final Hoops bow when he was starting work at his new side, he told BBC Scotland: "Pretty much on Sunday morning. That's now my focus.
"Recruitment, how budgets work, how pre-season works, and how to work with the coaching staff.
"It's something I've had a little sniff of at Celtic Under-20s, but now I'm going into the first team I'll be learning under a great manager in Stephen and a great assistant in Allan (Russell) as well.
"I know a lot of the players. Some of the players are fantastic and they've got that winning mentality, especially when I've played against them."
Brown is hoping to push his own personal boundaries and has long spoken about his desire to extend his career into his 40s.
But he quipped the Aberdeen fans shouldn't expect "Maradona" when he rocks up in red next season.
Brown added: "I'm not getting any younger but I still feel good and enjoy my football.
"I train every day and, touch wood, I've been injury-free this season and I've been involved in a lot of games.
"I'm not saying I'm going to be Maradona and beat three people and put it in the stanchion, but I will help as much as I possibly can.
"Gordon played until he was 40. I'm not saying I'm going to but I'm going to give it a right good go."
