Scott Brown receives hilarious reply from Celtic team-mate as he posts throwback picture

It's a year to the day that Scott Brown popped up with a late winner against Kilmarnock to pretty much guarantee Celtic the league title.

On the same weekend, Rangers had dropped points against St Johnstone, and the victory at Rugby Park put eight points between the sides with 12 games left in the season.

Brown was sent off for his celebration after scoring but it was a goal that all but guaranteed an eighth league title in a row was heading for Glasgow's east end.

Celtic fans spent the rest of the season singing about how 'Scott Brown won the league at Rugby Park' and the Hoops skipper didn't miss a chance to celebrate the anniversary.

Taking to Instagram, he posted: "A year ago today. Best red I think I have got."

What many people looking at the picture might not have noticed is a Kilmarnock defender with his hands on his hips looking gutted.

That defender is Greg Taylor and is now a team-mate of Brown's at Celtic Park and didn't miss a trick in his response.

His hilarious reply said: "No other pic you could have used mate?"

Taylor has recently had a run of games in the Celtic team after struggling for action in the first half of the season.

But he's a major doubt for Thursday's Europa League clash with Copenhagen after limping out of Sunday's 2-1 win over Aberdeen.

The left back picked up a hamstring problem and manager Neil Lennon had said: “He felt a twinge in his hamstring. He felt he could maybe play on but was worried he might rip it if he did.

"We will assess him over the next couple of days but hopefully it’s not too bad."
