Scott Brown has pinpointed the qualities which make Callum McGregor his ideal successor as Celtic captain.
The Hoops skipper says his midfield partner is the perfect man to take the armband on a full-time basis once he eventually calls it a day.
The 35-year-old hasn't indicated he's preparing to hang up his boots just yet, but is sure the club will be in good hands when he does decide to do so.
When asked if McGregor was the ideal man to take over as captain, Brown told Premier Sports: "Yes, definitely. He speaks really well, the lads listen to him and respond to him as well. He does his talking on the field.
"There's going to come one of those days where I'm not going to be there and he's got to do it. I've got 100 per cent faith that he will do."

The Celtic skipper added: "He's grown into a fantastic player. He's getting better and better as the seasons go on. He looks after himself unbelieveable. He's in great condition. He's a fantastic player."
