Scott Brown is in the clear over his clash with Kimarnock ’s Aaron Tshibola on Tuesday evening.
A panel of three former grade one referees reviewed footage of the Rugby Park flashpoint but deemed the incident did NOT cross the line in terms of violent conduct.
The midfielder will face no further action.
Celtic skipper Brown appeared to catch Tshibola on the chin as the pair lined-up for a throw-in in the first half of the Hoops’ 4-0 win.
The incident was not spotted by referee Kevin Clancy and was referred to the same SFA disciplinary procedure which hammered Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos with a three-game ban last week for a stamp on Hibs defender Ryan Porteous.
On that occasion Steven Gerrard admitted he couldn’t defend Morelos.
But the Rangers boss followed up on Tuesday by urging SFA top brass to apply greater levels of “consistency” when dealing with disciplinary reviews.
