Scott Brown in emotional Celtic admission as Parkhead skipper responds to fan tribute

Outgoing Celtic captain Scott Brown has admitted he will miss the good times as he prepares to depart Glasgow's east end.

The skipper will pull on the green and white for the final time this week as he ends the campaign against Hibs at Easter Road.

The club have also organised a tribute to the iconic Celtic figure for his final home game against St Johnstone on Wednesday before he leaves for Aberdeen to join up with manager Stephen Glass.

After 14 years in Glasgow, Brown will leave for a player-coach role at Pittodrie having lifted a staggering 10 Premiership titles, six Scottish Cups and six League Cups.

With fans locked out of grounds across the country in the midst of the Covid pandemic, the Parkhead faithful have taken to social media to praise Brown ahead of his exit.

Twitter user Adam Lynch is among the group and he pulled together a video showcasing the best of Brown which has proven very popular among supporters online.

Brown seemed to enjoy the clip, as he made a rare appearance on the social media site to thank him for the montage.

He posted: "Thank you very much. Loved that. Will miss these days."

Fans have been asked to submit flags to be showcased around Celtic Park ahead of the May 15 Premiership clash with the Perth Saints.
