Scott Brown held back in Celtic flashpoint as Scottish Cup Final celebrations spill over

Celtic skipper Scott Brown was held back by a member of Neil Lennon's backroom staff as celebrations spilled over against Hearts.

The Parkhead side retained the Scottish Cup to secure a quadruple treble after a dramatic afternoon at Hampden.

The Hoops came out on top in a penalty shootout after the game finished 3-3 at extra time.

Brown was back to his best as he returned to the side and assisted Leigh Griffiths to put Celtic 3-2 up in extra time. before Kris Ajer fired home the decisive spot kick.

The midfielder put himself about and was involved in various tussles with Steven Naismith throughout the game.

And the captain got caught up in a heated exchange at the full-time whistle with Hearts players as he had to be restrained by a member of Celtic's staff.

It remains to be seen why Brown approached the Hearts players, but clearly he was angered by something that was said.

Brown claimed his 22nd piece of silverware as a Celtic player and is now three behind legend Bobby Lennox.
