For the Premiership clash fans have also been invited to hand in jerseys, flags, banners to be displayed around the stadium.

A club statement read: "Of course, we wish you were with Scott and the club in person, but in the days preceding the match, we will be offering supporters groups and clubs and individual fans the chance to bring any tribute for our captain and these will then be distributed by staff to adorn the inside of Celtic Park as our captain leads out the team.

"We are sure the colour and support will be appreciated by Scott, someone who has done so much to deliver success to the club and our fans.

"Scott will always be held in the highest esteem and we are sure our fans will want to pay tribute to a Celtic great. While we are sure Scott’s last game at Celtic Park will be a poignant occasion, it is important we also celebrate the contribution of a real club Legend.

"Clearly, this can only be done within current guidelines relating to travel and staying local etc. Supporters should not bring any tribute to the stadium at the moment, further details of drop off arrangements, logisitics and protocols will be issued in the next few days."
