Scott Brown can't resist Rangers jibe as Celtic legend makes 'proper invincible' dig

Outgoing Celtic captain Scott Brown couldn't resist aiming one final dig at Rangers this afternoon - by claiming he'll leave the Parkhead club as a 'proper' invincible.

Brown brought the curtain down on his 14 trophy-laden years at the Hoops today by playing his final game against his former club Hibs at Easter Road, and will join Aberdeen as a player/assistant manager this summer.

The match itself summed up Celtic's season in a microcosm with both teams playing out an underwhelming and uninspiring 0-0 draw, with Brown and his team-mates finishing the campaign a whopping 25 points behind Steven Gerrard 's Gers.

Rangers' thumping 4-0 victory over Aberdeen at Ibrox ensured they finished the season without a solitary defeat, but Brown alluded to their two domestic cup exits when he spoke to the media afterwards, whilst recalling his own invincible record from 2017.

After the full-time whistle, Brown said: "I would rather be in my situation than anybody else's.

"We've went 'proper' invincible throughout the whole season, we've done treble after treble after treble.

"It's not easy and it does take its toll on everybody's body.

"That's what's happened this year and we gave it everything we could but we've just not managed to get that 10."
