Scott Brown and Rangers star Ryan Kent team up as Celtic skipper signs painting of being belted

When Ryan Kent lashed out at Scott Brown in March you wouldn't have expected them to be teaming up six weeks later.

The Rangers winger reacted with fury during the March derby by aiming a punch at the Celtic captain  after the Hoops had scored their second goal in a 2-1 win.

But the pair have put their differences aside to raise money for charity by each signing a painting of the flashpoint.

Brown might have had a bit of a sore face after the incident but it didn't stop him getting involved in the fundraising.

The image of Kent punching Brown was painted by Geo Thomson and will be auctioned off ahead of a memorial game in June for Rangers fan Gordon Thomson.

The money raised will go to MacMillan cancer support services. The football match will see a Rangers Legends team face a Shotts Bon Accord select and the charity has received a major boost from the stars of the Glasgow giants.

A tweet from @Rangers_Bognor said: "Huge thanks to Scott Brown and Ryan Kent for leaving club rivalry aside and signing this phenomenal painting by Geo Thomson that we are auctioning on 14th June at my brother's memorial game for @MacMillianLan. DM me any bids up until midday 14th June #cancerhasnocolours"
