Crystal Palace have confirmed their second new arrival of the January transfer window, with teenager Scott Banks joining the club on a three-year deal.
As Roy Hodgson had hinted earlier this week, Palace have now completed the signing of the 18-year-old attacking midfielder, who made his debut for Dundee United earlier this season.
The Scotland Under 19 international spent the 2018/19 season with Clyde FC, where he impressed on loan, winning the club's goal of the season award and being named man of the match as they clinched promotion from Scottish League Two.
But now, he has made the move south of the border, becoming Palace's second signing of the January transfer window, following the arrival of Cenk Tosun on loan from Everton.
And Banks has spoken of his delight at making the move to join the Eagles.
“It’s a big moment for me and my family, and I’m delighted to be here, he told Palace TV.
“Like everyone says, the Premier League is the biggest league in the world, so there’s no bigger stage I’d want to play on. It’s a big step up coming from Scotland.
“A couple of weeks ago I heard about the interest, and when you hear about that interest, straight away I wanted to pursue that
“I want to push myself to the highest level I can go, so it was a no-brainer that this was the place for me to be.
