Scott Arfield raffles Rangers top from Celtic win to raise money for cause close to his heart

Scott Arfield is raising money for Chris Mitchell Foundation by raffling his match shirt worn in Rangers' win over Celtic on Sunday.

The Ibrox midfielder scored the second goal of the game as Steven Gerrard's side dominated their rivals at Ibrox.

He's quickly become a fans' favourite in his first season at the club and the Canada captain is doing his bit off the pitch as well.

Arfield is raising money for the charity set up in memory of his former Falkirk team-mate, who sadly passed away after a battle with depression in 2016.

Mitchell was just 27 when he died after quitting football to take up a new career.

And now Arfield is paying tribute to him by raffling off his shirt from Sunday's victory.

All supporters have to do is donate £10 to the foundation by Friday May 17 and they will be entered into a draw for the signed top.

In the 12 hours since Arfield posted a link to his donation page, an incredible figure of £2610 has been raised and more is expected over the coming days.

Rangers derby hero Glen Kamara will be even BETTER next season claims legend Charlie Miller

Earlier this season, Arfield also raffled off his top worn against Motherwell on Remembrance Sunday with the money going to Help for Heroes, and raised £8130 for the charity.

Last week, the 30-year-old paid tribute to his friend by tweeting a picture of them together at Falkirk and saying: "3 years. Keeping singing up there my man."

Fans can enter the raffle by donating £10 to the Chris Mitchell Foundation.
