Scott Allan seals Hibs loan exit as midfield star joins Inverness and Neil McCann's promotion push

Hibs midfielder Scott Allan will spend the rest of the season on loan at Inverness as he looks to build up his match fitness.

The playmaker missed the start of the campaign after scans detected a heart condition.

The former Celtic man was eased back into the fold with medical supervision but has so far only managed brief cameo appearances from the bench.

And with the 29-year-old keen to get back to his best he's opted to join Neil McCann to try and get Inverness promoted.

Hibs manager Jack Ross explained: "We would have preferred to have kept Scott in the group but he expressed a strong desire to go out on loan.

"Currently, and understandably given the challenges he has faced during the past year he doesn’t feel fit enough to make the impact that his abilities should in the top part of the Premiership.

“Therefore Scott feels that strengthening his fitness and continuing his recovery in the Championship is a sensible option.

"We feel that it was appropriate to continue to support Scott in his recovery by sanctioning the loan move."
