Scott Allan Hibs return boost but Jack Ross dealt triple injury blow

Scott Allan has stepped up his return to full training for Hibernian as the playmaker raises hopes of a comeback for the Easter Road side.

The midfielder has been on the sidelines with an undisclosed health issue for the majority of the season.

The 29-year-old has only played five times for Jack Ross' men this term, but was finally on the mend last week as he returned to light training at East Mains.

And now the Hibs playmaker has stepped up his recovery as he took part in Friday's full squad session at East Mains.

It's unclear when Allan will return to Ross' first team, but it's promising to see the attacking midfielder getting up to speed.

However, Jamie Murphy, Alex Gogic and Sean Mackie were all missing and are major doubts for this weekend's trip to Hamilton.

Gogic and Mackie were forced out of Saturday's win over Motherwell, while former Rangers winger Murphy limped off with a hamstring problem.

There were more positive news for Hibs, however, as Kyle Magennis took part in today's session after returning from a hamstring issue.
