Scots zoo staff heartbroken after much-loved 17-year-old African Pygmy goat dies

Scots zoo keepers have been left heartbroken after their much-loved African Pygmy goat died.

Staff at Five Sisters Zoo sadly said goodbye to Dominic, their oldest African Pygmy Goat.

The animal was born at the West Calder animal sanctuary almost 17 years ago, the same year the zoo was launched, and he became a firm favourite with staff and visitors.

Keepers have now paid a special tribute on social media saying Dominic will be 'sorely missed by everyone'.

Five Sisters Zoo said: "Sadly, we recently had to say goodbye to our eldest African Pygmy Goat, Dominic.

"He was born here at FSZ almost 17 years ago, the same year the zoo was established, and he has been a firm favourite amongst staff and visitors ever since.

"He will be sorley missed by everyone here at FSZ."
