Scots youths filmed 'bus surfing' on moving vehicle in dangerous stunt

A group of teens have been filmed clinging to the back of a bus in a dangerous stunt in Edinburgh city centre. Three youths were captured on TikTok hanging on the back of the Lothian Bus in the Dundas street area of the city.

The footage uploaded on Tuesday, May 30, shows two hooded teens and one in a white t-shirt holding on to the back of the vehicle as it travels down the busy street. Patryk Bee, who posted the video, captioned it 'free tickets'.

Edinburgh Live reports that hundreds liked and commented on the video with many unable to believe what they were seeing. One commented: "Old school free bus ride."

Another added: "I swear down even though I live in the UK I'm refusing to believe it's real."

Later in the video the youths can be seen jumping on the number 8 service to Muirhouse on Dundas Street where they stay as it moves down the hill.

It comes as a similar incident was filmed in the Old Town with two boys clinging to a bus on Nicolson Street. A Police Scotland spokesman said previously: “All road users have a responsibility to ensure their behaviour does not put themselves, or others, at risk of harm. Failure to do so could have very serious consequences.”

Lothian Buses has been approached for comment.
