Scots X Men and Harry Potter actor Alan Cumming has told fans he has tested positive for coronavirus but is already being double vaccinated.
Alan, who lives in the States, urged people to get their Covid jabs despite not displaying any symptoms of the virus.
Alan told his fans: 'I tested positive for COVID! I am isolating and following all the protocols but feeling totally fine because of the vaccine. Please get vaccinated!!!"
He then posted a video, saying: "Hello everybody, I just wanted to tell you I have Covid and I feel totally fine.
"I have got one of those breakthrough infections.
"One day last week I felt I had bad allergies and a bit achy, that was probably me fighting it off.
"I'm pretty asymptomatic and I'm double vaccinated.
"This just in - the vaccine works."
Alan admitted he'd been scared about catching the vaccine saying: "I just want to say before I was vaccinated I was really scared about getting Covid, because I'm asthmatic and I was worried about what a repository virus could do to me.
"So the idea that I've got it now, and didn't even know I had it.
"I only found out because I had to get a test because I was supposed to fly to London today, that shows that the vaccine is so effective.
"Anyone who you know who hasn't been vaccinated, please encourage them to do so, for everyone's sake."
Amongst the wellwishers who wrote to Alan urging him to get better was fashion designer Kenneth Cole.
He wrote: "I HATE that your positive for COVID But LOVE that your such a Positive spirit for so many. good luck."
