Streaky legs, a weird smell and stained sheets - we've all likely had a fake tan disaster at one point.
But one Scot claims she has the answer to getting a natural sun-kissed glow without the fuss that will 'change your life'.
Nicola Gillespie took to social media platform Tik Tok to share her genius fake tan hack, promising no smells, stained clothes or patchy skin.
She advised ditching the heavy mousses and mits and instead go for tanning water.
and the trick is to put the tanning water into a continuous spray bottle - which you can buy online - and apply it to the skin in just 10 minutes.
In the clip, which has racked up 25,000 likes, Nicola explained: "See if you really want to get a natural, real-looking tan without fake tan and sun-beds you need to try tanning water.
"It dries instantly and doesn't transfer onto clothes, it doesn't have a smell and the best thing about it is it gradually fades like a real tan it does not go patchy.
"But it's obviously a clear water so it can be quite difficult to put on - unless you get one of these continuous spray bottles.
"I think you can get them from for £7 or £8 on Amazon, honestly so cheap.
"And you just scoosh it and it continuously sprays like a mini fake tan gun. It makes it go on so even and so quickly, it literally takes 10 minutes.
" A full tanning routine in 10 minutes, you can legit jump straight into bed after you spray this on.
"It will change your life and you can thank me later."
The video quickly went viral as hundreds took to the comments to praise the technique.
