Scots woman rushed to hospital with 'serious' injuries after horror lorry smash

A Scots pedestrian has been rushed to hospital with "serious" injuries after being hit by a lorry.

The horror crash took place on Crown Street in Inverness.

Emergency services rushed to the scene at around 12:45pm.

The woman was then transported to Raigmore Hospital.

The road remains closed as police conduct a collision investigation.

Cops are also urging witnesses to come forwards with any information.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 12.45pm on Friday, 12 March, to a report of a crash on Crown Street, Inverness, involving a pedestrian and a lorry.

“A woman, the pedestrian, has been taken to Raigmore Hospital with serious injuries and the road is currently closed.

“Anyone with information that could help with our collision investigation, particularly dash-cam or CCTV footage, is asked to contact us on 101, quoting incident 1267 of Friday, 12 March.”
