Two men have been arrested by police for allegedly trying to murder a woman with a car in Clydebank.
Emergency services were called to the scene at the junction of Chalmers Street and Alexander Street at around 10.30pm on May 22.
A 37-year-old woman had reportedly been knocked down by a vehicle and was rushed to hospital for treatment.
The extent of her injuries and current condition are unknown.
A major police probe was launched with officers treating the incident as attempted murder.
Two men, aged 20 and 21, have since been charged in connection and released to appear in court at a later date.
A force spokeswoman said: "Around 10.30pm on Friday, 21 May, 2021, police received a report a 37-year-old woman had been struck by a car at the junction of Chalmers Street and Alexander Street in Clydebank.
"Emergency services attended and she was taken to hospital.
"Officers are treating the incident as attempted murder and two men, aged 20 and 21, have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
"They have been released on an undertaking and will appear at a later date.
