Scots woman knocked to ground by thugs who tried to steal her dog

A Scots woman was knocked to the ground after thugs tried to snatch her dog in West Dunbartonshire.

The incident happened on the footpath adjacent to Main Street, Jamestown, in near to the entrance at Oakburn Walk, Around 9.05pm on Wednesday, December 22.

The woman had been walking when two men pushed her to the ground and tried to grab the dog’s lead.

The men are both described as white, were wearing all black clothing and had snoods over their faces.

Detective Constable Thomas O’Donnell from Clydebank Police Station said: “This has been a frightening incident for the woman involved, who was thankfully not hurt.

“We are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time, or has dash cam footage or CCTV from the time to contact police via 101 quoting incident number 3400 of 22 December 2021.”
