Scots woman hits out at 'rip off' Falkirk shop over lack of sweets in £2 mixture

A Scots woman has branded a Falkirk sweetie shop an "absolute rip off" after she received "about 10 sweets" in her £2 mixture.

Rachel Muirhead was left horrified after opening the paper bag from Brain Freeze on Grahams Road, to find a very small amount of treats inside.

She immediately called staff to make them aware and to ask where the rest of her mixture was and claims to have been told that Brexit is having an impact on supplies and prices.

In a post on Facebook, Rachel said: "This is my £2 mix up from Brain Freeze on Graham’s Road with a 50p sticker on it “just to keep it closed”.

"I’ve just took it back to complain and the reason I"ve only got about 10 sweets is because of Brexit. Heard it aw noo 10/10 would NOT recommend.

"They also have £1 mix ups too, can you just imagine."

One person commented: "Think the person that served you has a frozen brain."

Another said: "That’s f****** horrendous."

A spokesperson for the shop acknowledged to Falkirk Live that the customer was unhappy with her purchase and had been offered her money back, but she refused.

They also added that their prices are by weight and not charged per sweet.
