A 30-year-old woman suffered minor injuries and, thankfully, did not require hospital treatment but has been left “extremely shaken”, police have said.

Several members of the public rushed to help her in the moments after she was struck by the falling cart. Officers are keen to speak to the Good Samaritans, as well as anyone else who may have information.

A spokesperson for the force said: “We are appealing for witnesses after a 30-year-old woman was injured in Edinburgh at the weekend.
