Scots woman caught in hilarious slip while filming Snapchat video about safety

A Scots woman had a 'You've Been Framed' moment while filing a Snapchat video about safety.

Olivia Nicolson was filming herself at home talking about women being safe when they are out alone, and was busy showcasing her self-defence keychain, but seemingly failed to assess the dangers of slippery floors in her own home.

The 22-year-old Dundee student forgot she had recently used a crease release spray on her bed - some of which had accidentally sprayed onto her wooden flooring.

We've told previously how the wonder-spray does get creases out of clothing and linen - but when it accidentally reaches wooden or tiled surfaces, some mums have described it as 'lethal'.

After 'falling' foul of the crease-release spray this week, Olivia, who is studying acting at the University of Northampton, said: " I was filming a wee snapchat for the other students in our Halls of Residence about how we can stay safe when we are out and I was showing them this wee keyring I got that has a torch and alarm and things on it.

"The next thing I know I slipped. I saw myself going in slow motion. I whacked my elbow and knee cap and my Macbook went flying and landed on a sofa, thankfully. The fact that I caught it on video is so typical of me."

Olivia shared her funny clip to a popular cleaning Facebook page and other users couldn't help but chuckle at her misfortune.

One said: "Hope you are ok sorry it did make me laugh though."

Another added: "Omg a lot of those sprays are lethal for slippy floors."

Most crease release spray bottles contain warnings not to use them near wooden or tiled floors.

However, some say if you're not careful you risk turning your home into a "death trap"

Posting on Facebook, one woman said: "My wood floors were a nightmare... I looked like Torvill and Dean on the lash for about a week slipping everywhere!!"

Another agreed: "My opinion it should be taken off the market lethal on tiles."

"I’m surprised they still sell it. This things a death trap!" said another.
