A woman arrested with a pair of scissors in her boot has dodged jail after telling cops she was a seamstress.
Veronica Logan, 51, was searched after an incident in January (2021) at an address in Hallglen, Falkirk.
Prosecutor Ann Orr told Falkirk Sheriff Court today "She had been arrested on suspicion of other matters which are no longer before the court.

"She was taken to the police office in Falkirk. She was searched she was found to be in possession of a pair of scissors concealed in her boot.
"She said at that time, 'I'm a seamstress'."
Logan, of Bannockburn, Stirlingshire, pleaded guilty to having the scissors, contrary to Scotland's anti-knives law.
Solicitor Virgil Crawford, defending, said: "Miss Logan doesn't quite remember why these were in her boot, but they were.
"As I understand it, they were a small pair of scissors. She indicated to the police that she was a seamstress.
"She isn't actually employed as such, but she has in the past and continues on occasion to do some sewing work for herself, her family and some friends.
"She was wearing Timberland-type boots - boots which laced up - and it was when they were taken from her at the police station before she was lodged in a cell that it became apparent that they were there.
"I can't give any explanation beyond that as to why they were in her boots."
Sheriff Eric Brown fined Logan, who lives on benefits, £130.
