Scots walker's disappearance of 'increasing concern' as police launch search

A Scots man is missing as police appeal for information to help trace him.

Neil Scott , 58, was reported missing from Burnside Street in Campbeltown, Argyll and Bute at around 10.15am on Thursday July 8.

He is known to go walking in the area with his elderly cross breed collie dog, according to Police Scotland.

Neil has been described as being around 5ft 10ins in height, of medium build with thinning grey/white hair.

Sergeant Alasdair Maclaren said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for Neil and are seeking the public’s assistance in helping to trace him.

“Neil is known to go walking in the area with his dog, an elderly cross breed collie. We would appeal to anyone who has information on his whereabouts on anyone who has seen him to get in touch.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 0984 of 8 July, 2021.
