Scots victim of Jeffrey Epstein says 'sick' Ghislaine Maxwell should spend life behind bars

A Scottish victim of paedophile Jeffrey Epstein says she wants his alleged accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell to spend the rest of her life behind bars.

Sarah Ransome has written a memoir about her time spent in the clutches of the shamed financier, who died in prison in 2019.

Called Silenced No More: Surviving My Journey to Hell and Back, it has been released in the United States to coincide with the ongoing trial of Ghislaine Maxwell.

Sarah’s father is Lord Gordon Macpherson, the second baron of Drumochter, and she moved from South Africa when she was a teenager to live with her aunt and uncle in the Highlands.

She is one of Epstein’s most high-profile victims and settled a law suit against Maxwell and him in 2018.

That means that she cannot take part in the ongoing high-profile criminal trial against Maxwell which has made front page headlines.

In an interview with CBS, Sarah claimed that Maxwell played a key role in Epstein’s alleged child abuse ring.

She said: “I have so many examples of how Ghislaine not only tortured me and abused me, but other survivors.

“When Ghislaine had been on the island, I’d been on the island for a few days, and Jeffrey had, like, this outside patio with seating.

"And she looked at me and she walked over to me and she said, ‘Jeffrey wants you.’

"And I completely froze... she grabbed my arm and marched me into Jeffrey’s room, where I was then raped.

"So when she says that she had nothing to do and she had no idea, she was a facilitator.

"She was Jeffrey’s right-hand woman. She orchestrated everything.”

Sarah said that justice for her will be seeing Maxwell pay for what she did to the victims.

She said: “Jeffrey’s dead. Ghislaine’s here. I want Ghislaine behind bars for the rest of her life purely because she is that sick.

"The public are not safe with her on the street. I want people to know what happened.”

Sarah’s book covers her time under Epstein’s control in 2006/2007.

It is for sale in America but is yet to have a British release date.
