A police investigation has been launched after a man suffered a serious head injury outside Glasgow Central station.
Emergency services were called after the victim was allegedly attacked at around 5.39pm on Tuesday.
The scene - near the vehicle turning area - was cordoned off with forensics officers drafted in to gather evidence.
The victim’s condition is not currently known.
British Transport Police have confirmed they are investigating but say that no arrests have yet been made.
A statement from the force said: “Officers were called to Glasgow Central station at 5.39pm yesterday following reports of an assault.
"A man suffered a head injury, and the scene was cordoned off for investigation.
"No arrests have been made in connection and enquiries into this incident are ongoing."
The Scottish Ambulance Service has been contacted for comment.
