A CHILD has been left "permanently disfigured" after being hit by an e-bike.

The toddler was allegedly struck by an e-bicycle whilst on a public footpath, causing serious injury and permanent disfigurement.

Following the incident in February 2025, officers have since seized an e-bike in Clydebank in connection.

A man has also been charged. He is due to appear in court at a later date.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "An e-bike has been seized in Clydebank after it was identified as part of an enquiry into an incident in February.

"The incident involved a three-year-old who was struck by an e-bike, whilst on a public footpath, causing serious injury and permanent disfigurement.

"The male identified has been charged with the associated Road Traffic Act legislation and is due to appear in court at a later date."
