Scots TikTok star Nathan Evans 'never been to festival' ahead of TRNSMT gig

Scottish singer Nathan Evans admits that opening the main stage at TRNSMT will be his first time at a festival.

The TikTok star told Capital Scotland he has previously never been to a music festival and his performance will also double up as his first time at an event.

Nathan is due to open the main stage on the Saturday of TRNSMT taking place 10-12 September.

The Scottish star told radio presenter Katy Johnson: "I have never been to a festival in my life.

"Never attended a festival, never played a festival and one of the first times at a festival getting to play the main stage at TRNSMT."

Evans first rose to fame on TikTok as his sea shanty singing videos began to pick up a lot of traction online.

Since then, the Airdrie native has become a social media sensation with his latest single 'Told You So'.

The Wellerman singer shared a clip of his Capital Scotland interview writing: "Absolute buzzing for TRNSMT festival it’s going to be so gooood man!"

After TRNSMT, things aren't slowing down for Nathan as he launches his own book of sea shanty's this Autumn.

'The Book of Sea Shanty's: the Wellerman and other songs from the seven seas' will be out to a Waterstones near you on October 14 2021.

Following this, the sea shanty star is up and down the UK for his very own tour with one of the Glasgow shows sold out already - don't miss out on your chance to see Nathan Evans in action.
