A serial domestic abuser who dismissed charges against him as “lassies being lassies” has been caged for 41 months.
Liam Millar attacked one partner when she was pregnant, warning, “I’ll stab the life out of you”.
The control freak assaulted another woman on several occasions and accused her of sleeping with her own father and sneaking out at night to meet men.
Millar, 22, admitted a catalogue of domestic abuse charges involving three women at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Friday.
Jennifer McCabe, prosecuting, told the court: “When police charged him he said it was ‘lassies being lassies’. He did not seem to care about his actions and boasted that women ‘just want all the f****** money’ despite the fact that he was unemployed. He belittled the charges and laughed as he was told about them.”
Millar, who will be supervised for a year on his release, was also handed non-harassment orders preventing contact with his three victims for five years.
Millar assaulted the women at addresses in Motherwell and Hamilton during 2019 and 2020.
His victim was three months pregnant with Millar’s child when he assaulted her and later sent a message threatening to kill her.
The court heard that Millar subjected a previous partner to repeated physical abuse. He also admitted assaulting a third partner by punching her on the face.
