Scots thug tore ex's stitches out with teeth and pushed face into dog faeces

A brute slashed his girlfriend then tore the stitches out of her wound with his teeth.

Euan Walker is now behind bars after assaulting the woman “on a daily basis” during a horrific campaign of abuse.

He punched, kicked, stabbed, bit and choked his terrified partner and held her head under water as she had a bath.

On one occasion, the thug shoved her face into dog faeces.

When he found out she’d been given information about a domestic abuse helpline he beat her up again.

Walker, 27, admitted assaulting the woman repeatedly and directing an abusive course of conduct against her between May 2018 and July last year.

He appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court and was remanded in custody pending sentence next month.

The attacks happened at addresses in Hamilton and Uddingston, and at the holiday home of Walker’s parents in Portpatrick, Wigtownshire.

Jennifer Cunningham, prosecuting, said the couple’s “turbulent” relationship lasted 19 months.

Walker was jailed in 2019 for assaulting the woman, but they got back together when he left prison.

After one attack, Walker sneered: “I’ve hit you hundreds of times and you never went to the police, so why bother now?

‘If I’m going to jail it’ll be for murdering you.”

Ms Cunningham told the court: “From that moment she feared for her life.”

The court heard how Walker bit the woman repeatedly including once on the nose, pulling out her nose ring.

She needed hospital treatment on several occasions and was once given an advice card by nurses who suspected she was a domestic abuse victim.

Ms Cunningham said: “The accused found the card then punched her repeatedly on the face.

"His pet dog was so distressed that it defecated on the living room floor.

“Walker forced his girlfriend’s face into the excrement, held her up to a mirror and said, ‘Look at you.

"What a state you’re in’.“

The woman had stitches put in her hand after Walker slashed her with a piece of broken glass.

The next day he tore out the stitches with his teeth.

The fiscal added: “She describes being assaulted on a daily basis by the time he was jailed in 2019.

“On a number of occasions he held a knife at her throat and threatened to kill her.”

When their relationship finally ended, Walker continued to hound her despite being handed a non-harassment order.

He posted intimate videos of her online and spray painted derogatory comments about her at Strathclyde Country Park and other locations.

In court, Walker also admitted abusive behaviour towards a previous girlfriend in 2011 and 2012.

Sheriff Andrew McIntyre and called for a criminal justice social work report before sentencing.
