Twitter has gone into meltdown over a Scots Tesco store that lists 'in-store cat facilities' for its very own resident feline.
Spartacus, a ten-year-old black-and-white cat, has made the Tesco Extra in Dunfermline, Fife, its second home for the past few years.
Nicknamed the 'Tesco cat', the moggie has become such a staple sight to shoppers that Tesco has even listed it on its website as enjoying 'naps by the front door'.
Under 'general information' about the store, Spartacus is listed as the 'in-store cat', who also loves getting 'pets' and 'scritches' from passing customers.
Angus Duncan tweeted about the feature, which racked up 11,000 likes, and wrote: "My local @tesco is better than yours."
Social media users were in disbelief over the supermarket's resident cat, with one commenting: "omg is this real?!"
Another wrote: "I will happily travel to Dunfermline just to pet this cat. It is essential travel!"
Tesco's official Twitter account even replied to the tweet and quipped: "Unexpected item in the bagging area."
It turns out supermarket cats are quite common as people took to the comments to share the felines who have made their local store a home.
One wrote: "The co-op in Stornoway has a cat called Mittens, and we are not worthy."
Another commented: "Tesco in Kirkwall, Orkney has an in-store cat. It even has its own Facebook page."

Meanwhile, another said: "There used to be one in the Kirkcaldy branch too. It's a Scottish thing."
Spartacus hit headlines two years ago when he piled on the pounds after being fed treats - including Pringles - from customers.
The portly cat can often be seen lying in the foyer of the shop in a bid to get shoppers to scratch his tummy or give him a treat.
His owner, who lives around the corner from the shop, previously said: "He goes there for about 6am every day and returns home at around 10pm.
"Everyone seems to love him and he gets hugs from people and they also offer him food.
"He gets fed all sorts, even Pringles, and he is now overweight."
