Scots teenager wows The Voice UK judges with sweet audition as he wins spot with Anne Marie

A Scots teenager has made it through to the next stage of The Voice UK after impressing the judges in his audition.

Cameron Ledwidge, 18, from Denny, took to the stage to win over judges Sir Tom Jones, Olly Murs, Will.i.am and Anne Marie in a bid to fulfil his dreams of performing as a solo artist.

The Edinburgh student performed a cover of Heather by Conan Gray as the judges deliberated in their spinning chairs during the blind audition while his family watched on in the wings.

Luckily his heartfelt performance was enough to win him a place in the next round of the competition, as singer Anne Marie turned round for him.

Cameron was elated to be chosen as part of Anne Marie's team - a newcomer judge in this year's series - as the teen dropped to his knees.

The Voice UK aired its fifth week of blind auditions tonight and the coaches felt the pressure as they continued to build their teams.

Several contestants braved the stage and performed tonight for season 10 but were left disappointed when no judges turned round for them.

The public will ultimately crown the winner of The Voice UK 2021 but first acts must win a spot on one of the four teams at the blind auditions.

The Voice continues next Saturday at 8.30pm on ITV.
